La Liga was first founded in 1929 in Spain. It had one division which was the Primera Divison and had only 10 clubs. By 1987 it reached its current peak of 20 clubs. For the Chaimpions League you have to finish in the top four of la liga. 5th place as well as the winner of Copa Del Ray (a spanish tournament) gets an invite to the Europa League. Both the Champions League and Europa League are some of the best Tournaments in the world. The rivelry between Real Madrid and Barcalona is one of the most intense rivelrys in the world. Both of the clubs are by far the best in La Liga and when they play eachother its known as El Clasico. Right now Rela madrid has won El Clasico 92 times and Barcalona has won 90 times and they have tied 48 times. tempers get heated and Barcalona has had a total of 50 yellows and Real Madrid has around 53. As far as reds go barcalona has 1 and Real madrid has gotten 4.
